Meet Dr. Luis

Dr. Luis Velis earned his dental degree in Peru in 1995. In 1998, he graduated with Honors (President’s Recognition) from the University of Florida after completing a two-year General Dentistry residency program designed for foreign-trained dentists.

For more than 25 years, Dr. Velis has proudly served the community at Gemini Dental.
Dr. Velis focuses on dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. With advanced training, extensive experience, and modern technology, he personally guides and performs every step of his patients’ cosmetic and reconstructive dental treatments, ensuring comprehensive and customized care.

He has participated in numerous seminars and advanced courses in Smile Design, Implantology, and General Dental Treatments and Materials. Dr. Velis holds a Master’s degree in Implantology from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He is a member of the Latin American Association of Dental Implantology (LAODI) and several professional study groups. Additionally, he is a Gold Invisalign Provider, reflecting his expertise and commitment to orthodontic excellence.

Dedicated to staying at the forefront of dentistry, Dr. Velis regularly completes continuing education courses to ensure his patients receive the most advanced and effective care available.

Most Rewarding Dental Experience

One of Dr. Velis’s most memorable experiences involved treating a patient who had gradually lost her smile and was fearful of dental treatment, believing it would be painful. Through patience and trust, he completed her smile transformation. She regained her confidence and now loves showing off her new smile. Helping patients overcome fear and rediscover their confidence is one of the most fulfilling aspects of his career.

Dr. Velis believes every patient presents unique challenges and rewards. The most gratifying moment comes after treatment is completed .seeing happy patients become part of the Gemini Dental family and continue their care with the practice for many years.

He has treated patients who first came in as children for baby tooth extractions, frightened and holding their parents’ hands. Years later, those same patients return, now confident adults, bringing in their own families and continuing the tradition of trust.
